I'm like... totally stunned... I made a request on a music community for any 40's music (to use as inspiration for my World War II AU) people had, expecting to maybe get one or two songs, but it turns out it wasn't such an obscure request because people have provided a LOT of stuff! Some of it's from a bit later (50's and 60's) but a LOT is from 1945 and earlier, which is perfect... I've been researching and putting the year of the song into the file name so that I can make sure I don't specifically mention a song that wouldn't have been in existance yet... lol...

I'm planning on making at least one, maybe 2 soundtracks for the fic... Like I'm thinking a 2 disc set, with seperate covers for each disc... Disc 1 will be World War II era songs (some of them covered by more recent artists, but... lol...) with art of real life pictures/propaganda posters/etc on the cover... Disc 2 will be more modern songs that fit the feel of the story...

Anyway... I'm totally in love with this fic idea... lol... World War II Ryan/Summer rocks! lol

I'm in love with everything you do that's in some way related to Ryan/Summer but I'm pretty sure I'm in love with this idea too. Plus, I love how detailed you're getting with it already. I'm officially pumped.

I am a research type of person... I've been hunting down reference pics of clothing and jewelry from the era, I checked to make sure the rank I was gonna give Ryan would be possible at the age I planned on him being (He's about 23 and a Second Lieutenant, which I KNOW is possible for the era because there were two Second Lieutenants who became heroes during the attack on Pearl harbor, and they were 22 and 23... lol)... I'm a total research geek... and next saturday is our usual library day, and I already have a list of books to check out for more reference material... lol...

I actually have the first tine little bit of the first scenes written... lol
