I'm so gonna have a new AU for you guys soon!

Anyone remember, a LONG time ago (I can't find the post, but I KNOW it happened! lol), when I mentioned the possibility of a World War II AU for The OC? Well, I'm actually gonna write it!

My plan is that the story will actually cover from about 1941 (beginning on the evening of December 6th) and going until after the end of the war around 1945. Ryan and Summer are the main characters, and it follows their story... Ryan is in the Army and is stationed first in Europe and later in the Pacific, Summer is an Army Nurse who first meets Ryan when he's minorly injured.

I will warn that Ryan begins the story (well... by the end of the first prologue/first chapter) engaged to marry Marissa, but trust me, that won't last. No way is she gonna wait years while Ryan is away... lol

I'm gathering mp3s of songs from that era to use to keep inspired, and... I'm already kind of in love with this AU... lol...

I think what's taking the most research is gettign music of the appropriate time period to use for inspiration... I keep having to hunt down dates for songs... not all the stuff I have is from an artist of the era, but if professional movies can have covers of old songs sung by newer artists? So can I! lol
