Behind the cut are 8, count them EIGHT new manips. Most were made using Roswell pics as the base images (Because I'm on a 'Leaving Normal' kick right now), and one was made using a 'Sarah Connor Chronicles' still as the base. They can basically be considered LN pics, although two of the Ryan/Brooke ones could easily be used elsewhere... I'm not saying they're perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but I really like how most of them turned out.

I put them in somewhat ascending order, the lower you go, the mroe I like the images... lol...

Title: Someone Tells You They Love You
Warnings: Mentions of violence, cheesy-ness.
Notes: This mix tells an AU story about Brooke Davis of One Tree Hill meeting Ryan Atwood of The OC. It takes place between seasons 2 and 3 of both shows, but with some AU elements. Most obvious are the opening ficlet with Brooke's reaction to Lucas kissing her being different, the truth behind the whole M/Trey mess, and later a mention of Sophie Rose when in canon she wasn't born for 2 more years... lol... Some songs may not exactly fit the actual scene, but they still inspired the scene that accompanies the song's download link.

Oh! For some reason, my copy of 'Change' by Taylor Swift has like 2 minutes or so of silence on the MP3 following the song. I meant to try finding and downloading another copy to get one without the silence, but... I forgot and uploaded this copy... sorry for the hassle... if it's too annoying, I'll try to find another copy and upload it, replacing the link...

( Lyrical Endings Songs And Explainations Ahead! )

I'm working on the playlist for the Third in the Lyrical series, which I plan on having be Lyrical Love, which will almost certainly be MUCH lighter in tone. There may be some angst and sadness, but it's couched in stories about Love of all sorts, ranging from Parental, to siblinglar, to Friendship, to Romantic.

18 songs, all downloadable! I uploaded to Mediafire, but if you need something uploaded elsewhere, let me know. I also provided a bonus link to a Youtube vid done to a different song by the same artist as one of my songs.

Since people seem to have liked this little experiment, I may do more of them... in different 'genres', though... like one of happy ficlets to happy/funny/romantic songs, one of Apocaficlets to songs like 'Does Me Up (End of The World News)' and 'Aim For The Head'... stuff like that...


( Lyrically Tragic Songs And Explainations Ahead! )

Here's the deal... I was listening to my 'all songs' playlist on random last night, and got several angsty songs in a row (which isn't susprising... i sorta have a LOT of angsty songs on my playlist... lol) and ideas kept hitting, so I wrote the first two and picked the next 3 lyrics to use as titles. This was gonna be one of those 'Five *Blanks*' things, but... I kept finding GREAT lyrics. So it expanded to 13 ficlets with 13 song lyric titles.

Most of these are in brand new universes you guys either haven't seen, or have only seen a tiny glimpse of (Two are kind of part of the 'Orange Hill' Universe, along with '#3 - The Prom' in 5 Memborable First Dates Between Ryan And Brooke post a did a few weeks back). A couple are universes I've talked about, but either haven't written yet. A very few are connected to well established universes of mine, but aspects that aven't been explored, or at leats not in this way. In no cases should these ficlets be considered canon for any universe they appear in, they are just randomness I bored from various universes for... also, while I tried to make all the universes different, there's at leats two that are at least in a similiar universe if not the same one.

Some are mildly disturbing. Some are heartbreaking. Some are bittersweet. Some are hopeful. I do promise, however, that Ryan does not die in any of them. He may be hurt, he may come close to dying, but he DOES NOT DIE. Also, none are particularly graphic with violence or sex (actually there's no sex in any of these... lol) but there's some bad language.

Most are The OC fics, but there's one other fandom in there. I don't identify the fandom, but I'm pretty sure you guys will know what fandom it is... lol... especially since I tagged it... lol

Take a guess about what songs the titles came from! I tried to pick either obscure songs or at least lines that aren't part of the chorus and therefore won't be as memorable... lol... One song I couldn't find a lyric I liked better than one I think almost everyone will recognize, so... whatever. I think some of them are chellenges... lol

If anyone wants to know more about each universe, let me know! You guys know I love randomly babbling... lol If there's a universe you want more of, let me know and I may write more... I also ahve a playlist of the inspiration songs, and I'll upload a mix of the songs by the weekend if people want them...

Something that has Ryan and/or Kaitlin looking kick ass... or maybe, since I have so much space for Icons still... one icon for each lead character (Ryan, Kaitlin, Faith, Dean, Brooke, and then Spike will be a regular later on) and then maybe some Icons that are veyr clearly ITB related, like make some wallpapers for the series and then shrink and crop like I did for one of my Ryan/Brooke 'Leaving Normal' icons... lol

So... anyway... last night I kinda plotted an outline for what would, if ITB was written as a TV series, would be a season long arc (like BTVS Season 4 had the Glory Arc, Season 7 had The First Arc). Today, I reread that and went bakc and expanded the early stuff, and OMFG I came up with a great, amazingly detailed, description of what I want to happen in the first full length story...

The First full length story (which will include slightly editted versions of the first couple ITB bits I've already posted, plus TONS of new stuff because it's gonna be a LONG story... but maybe quickly written because I'll have LOTS of time to write next week, when I'm off for Spring Break) will still be called 'In The Blood', but that will also be the title for the entire little series of stories.

OMFG I am so excited for this universe! Ryan kicks ass! There's angst! There's humor! There's Ryan referring to Buffy as 'B' just like Faith does! There's Dean thinking it's kinda hot that Faith could kick his ass! There's Faith thinking it's hot that Dean could possibly kick her ass right back!

Are there any specific characters from any of the involved fandoms you'd like to see 'guest star' in a story? I already have tenative plans for Whistler (BTVS/ATS), Bobby (SPN), and Illyria (ATS) appear at one point or another for at leats brief appearances, but... anyone else? I'm considering have Jess Mariano (Gilmore Girls) join the team at some point, because he would bring in some much needed sarcasm to them... So... anyone from the involved fandoms, or from another fandom you know I watch/write, that you'd like to see 'guest star' in a story?

So... I've had this idea for a while... finally decided to write it... Various universes, some you guys know (There's a Snapshots!Verse one in there!) some I know well but you guys haven't seen (yet). Each ficlet is titled with the location the Date takes place in. As with most of my '5' sets, there's comments and explanations after the fics. These range from sweet, to funny, to bittersweet.
