WOW! It's Amazing!
Aug. 23rd, 2003 09:38 pmInstead of WEEKS in between parts of TTTB, like I was doing for awhile, I got a new part out just a few minutes ago! Only 3 days in between TTTB 85 and TTTB 86! It's practically a MIRACLE! lol
Watched 'Thirteen Days' today with my mom. It's the true story of how John F. Kenedy and his staff dealt with the Cuban Missile Crisis in October 1962. As we watched, my mom started crying. She was 17 when it happened, she lived through all of it, and it brought back some bad memories for her.
See, mom lived in New Jersey at the time, so if the Nukes in Cuba had been launched on Washington, mom, Grandma Betty, my step-grandfather, and my then unborn Uncle Jason would have died from the fallout. And Mom was smart enough to know, 'duck and cover' (Ducking under your school desk and covering your head with your arms) wouldn't do a damn bit of good in a nuclear blast, so basically there was no protection. And she knew it.
Okay, now this entry turned sad/depressing... blah... lol... I'll try to be cheery later...
Later!
