The Fun Of Thursdays...

missmara13First off, I'll reapeat it again since it's official now: HAPPY BIRTHDAY BECCA! Hope you've had a great one and it'll keep being great! And if it hasn't been great, I hope it gets better!
Okay, my mom took today off (And has tomorrow off too), so this morning at like 8 she wakes me up and asks "Wanna go hiking?" Of course, since I LOVE hiking, I said yes. So in about a half hour I get up, get dressed, and am in the car heading out of town.
We get out there, hike around, do some free climbing (Climbing rocks without ropes or harneses or anything.) We don't do vertical rock faces, but damn close sometimes. And a lot of narrow crevices...
I actually got my leg stuck in a crevice at one point, and since behind me was a like 4 inch wide ledge, I was kinda screwed. I couldn't find a secure place to put my foot that wasn't trapped, but I couldn't move the trapped leg until I had the other foot placed firmly. So for I minute I just kinda stood there, my arms supporting most of my weight, as a tried to figure out my next move... mom was on the far side fo the rock, near the edge, so I didn't want to call out to her and startle her. Finally I just closed my eyes, leaned back slightly, hoping to god I wouldn't slip and not only break my leg but break open my head, too... and set my free leg on the VERY EDGE of the little ledge, and wiggled my trapped leg free. Then I did this weird contortion to get myself up on top of the rock.
Hell of an adventure... lol
Then, we came home and we rented 3 movies. Basic (John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Tim Daly), The first tape of 'Band Of Brothers' (David Schwimmer, Colin Hanks, bunch of other fan-damn-tastic actors)), and Eight Legged Freaks (David Arquette among others). We've only watched Basic so far, and OMG! I LOVE IT! It's got a whole hell of a lot of plot twists, but when you watch a second time (like we are now since my bro didn't watch the first time) you can see all the clues ARE there if you pay attention. It is a fabulous movie.
I guess that's it for now... maybe more later... maybe a short story/story snippet... I don't know... Probably not the type of snippet most of my friends (Becca, Bri, Laci, maybe Riley) would like... I'm thinking a kinda sci-fi type snippet... I don't know... lol
