Misc...some good... some bad...

missmara13I talked to my Dad and my sisters, Cindy and Kelly, last night. Got caught up on some stuff. Haven't talked to them in MONTHS so there was a lot to catch up on. Cindy moved from Arkansas to Tennessee and got back together with ehr first ever boyfriend from like 20 years ago. Sometime next year I hope to get to see Daddy and my sisters, plus meet my neices and nephew.
There's been some more bad in my life lately. Click below if you wanna know, or jsut skip over. It's family medical stuff I need to vent about.
On Monday Mom had a sore spot on her breast. It's NOT cancer, but it's in the same spot as a calcification, which is a considered a pre-cancerous growth. She didn't go to the doctor right away sicne she had a mamogram schedueld for Tuesday. She had it and told the tech about the soreness, they contacted the doc filling in for her usual doc and an appointment was made for Tuesday afternoon. He decided there was an infection. She was given some medicine for the low grade fever that had spread from the localized area of her breast to her whole body. The medicine had a side effect so now she has medicine for the side effect. She's doing better, but still kinda out of it. We're hoping the infection isn't either a warning sign or a percipitator of the calcification changing to something else.
There's 3 cases of cancer in blood relatives, and one of major fluid filled cysts. My Aunt Elizabeth (Mom's sister) and Great Aunt Madeline (Mom's Mom's Sister) both had breast cancer. My Grandpa Fred (Mom's dad) had brain tumors that metastasized and spread. And my Grandma Betty (Mom's mom) had fluid filled cysts throughout her body, but quite a few in her breasts. So Cancer, especially breast cancer, is a serious concern for us. Scares the crap out of me. And mom only worked 1 day this week, so that's 4 days she might nto get paid for (I'm not positive on how UniWyo handles sick days and payment)
Moving on, I just finished watching Stargate: Atlantis and once again the ep is Fan-Damn-Tastic. I won't give away anything, since I have at least one No-Spoilers friend who won't get to see the ep till Monday, but I WILL say: GO WEIR! lol There's some VERY Sheppard/Weir shippy moments, though also some Sheppard/Teyla moments which is like blah... some good Sheppard&Ford friendship moments... those two rock! lol Gonna work on a Sheppard/Weir fic based on this ep... And there are really 2 heroes of the hour this week. So proud of them both! lol So damn Sheppard/Weir.... lol I set it up to tape when I thought I'd be talking to my Dad/Sisters tonight, but they didn't call so... now I can watch it again tomorrow with my mom and use the tape to rewatch to gather details for my sites.
Love, love, love the SG-1 episode. Very funniness with Jack at the beginning. lol
