Atlantis Goodness...
Jul. 27th, 2004 11:56 pmRewatching the pilot I saw several examples of the Weir/Sheppard relationship in canon...
First, when the bottle of champagne rolled out of the Stargate right ebfore it turned off. Weir picked up the bottle, looked at it, then turned to look up at Sheppard, who was standing on the landing above. Why would she do that if there's not something going on there? lol
2nd, as Sheppard, Ford, and the others went on the rescue mission, as the PuddleJumper disappeared intot eh gate, she whispered "Be safe." Now, of course she's worried about all he rpeople, but even for a civilian that seems out of palce unless she has a 'thing' for someone on board the PJ. And since there's like ZERO Weir/Ford subtext, I'm guessing it's Sheppard she was telling to "Be safe."
And finally, at the very end, it's the two of them left standing on the railing looking out over the city as the camera pulls back and away.
Forget Sheppard/Teyla! Sheppard/Weir is the only way to go!
