Meme time!
Jan. 7th, 2012 03:20 pmTell me about a story I haven't written, and I'll give you several sentences from that story.
For anyone who hasn't seen this meme, the idea of it is to basically give a brief description that sounds like something I'd write (Example: 'The one where Ryan and Brooke have seven kids and a dog') but haven't actually talked about or written, and then I'll write at least a few sentences if not a few paragraphs of the story, or it may even spark a whole, fully written, story. This is NOT to get sneak peaks at stories I've mentioned wanting to write/am currently writing...
Any fandoms I've written or even just talked about are open to use (Scan my tags list, if it's on there, it's open to use!) although if it's not a fandom I've written often/at all I can't promise it'll be perfectly in character.

Date: 2012-01-08 04:45 am (UTC)"Quieter!" Ryan hissed, wishing now that he had taken something stronger than an aspirin before coming over.
"What happened?" Kirsten asked.
"You know Seth will not let it drop, so you might as well tell us," Summer added.
Ryan sighed. "I ran into a door," he admitted. "And it's really embarrassing, so can we just talk about something other than my face?"
"Where's Brooke?" Sandy asked.
"At home, she didn't feel like coming," Ryan said with a shrug.
Sandy and Kirsten exchanged glances. "We heard you two arguing when you called..." Kirsten began.
"She thought I should stay home and rest," Ryan said.
"Ryan... walking into a door wouldn't leave you with those bruises..." Sandy said.
Ryan stared up at him, startled. "You... What, you think Brooke hit me or something?"
"That's kinda the cliche excuse you used," Seth pointed out.
"It's not an excuse, it's what happened!" Ryan protested.
"Ryan..."
"Last night, we got home from dinner with a business associate of Brooke's, and I was puttering around while she went to get changed, and she said something I didn't quite catch, so I told her I didn't hear it and started back to pour room, and I didn't see her shoes in the middle of the hall, and I tripped just as she was opening the bedroom door..." He sighed. "My face slammed onto the knob and Brooke feels so guilty that she refused to face you guys tonight, and she was worried about me being out instead of resting like the doctor said..."
"Ryan... that's a little..." Sandy began.
"My wife is not abusing me!" Ryan said. "I honestly fell into the door knob and now I'm glad Brooke didn't come if you're just going to make insane accusations!" He finished, getting up. "I'm gonna call a cab and go home, I'd rather be reassuring Brooke that it wasn't her fault than listening to you be crazy!"

"I just need massive caffeine," Lorelai said with a slight smile.
Ryan nodded, sipping his own coffee. "I'm sure we can get this annulled or something," he said.
"Pretty sure we consummated," Lorelai replied. "And I doubt anyone will believe we didn't."
"Not unless I claim to be gay," Ryan agreed with a shy smile.
"Now I see what i thought this was a good idea last night, you are a flirt," Lorelai accused. "You flattered me until I went insane!"
"You were talking about how the bar should be a new Coyote Ugly and trying to get on the counter," Ryan said. "And I'm pretty sure that was before you were drunk."
"Hey, they would have been a lot busier if they did!" Lorelai protested.
"Anyway, how do we know it wasn't the other way around?" Ryan continued. "I'm alone in Vegas after a big fight with my family, I just had a bad break up, this gorgeous woman flirts with me... I wasn't in my right mind, and you took advantage of that. You are just a horrible human being," he said with mock sincerity.
Lorelai laughed. "I'm just imagining how my family would react. You're younger than my daughter."
"Hey, at least I'm of age, so you've got points on the supposed ladies who propositioned me for coat room sex when I was 15," Ryan said.
"I'm picturing the look on my mother's face..." Lorelai said, a slow smile spreading across her face. "How would you feel about staying married long enough to meet my parents?" she asked with a grin. "With me having a video camera trained on my mother's face when I tell her that you're my husband."
"I could live with that," Ryan agreed. Then, impulsively, he leaned over and kissed her. "Gotta practice to make it look good, right?" he asked when he pulled back.
"I think we need more practice than that," Lorelai countered, kissing him again.

Date: 2012-01-10 01:22 am (UTC)"My mother was a stripper he hooked up with," Ryan replied. "He obviously didn't want me, so I don't want his money."
"You were in his will," Chuck argued. "Clearly he cared."
"Yeah, so clearly that I never even met the man."
"Fine, maybe he didn't care so much as he felt guilty, which would have been a first, but the fact remains that I care. You're my brother, my family..."
"You don't even know me," Ryan insisted.
"But I want to. My only other family is Jack, out father's brother, and he... he only wants control of the company. He couldn't care less what happens to me. And I know he's determined to make sure you get nothing because it takes from him. You're my brother, you have as much a right to the Bass Legacy as I do. And a hell of lot more right to it than Jack! He's trying to take it away from both of us!"
Ryan hesitated, looking away, then looking back. "Does... you're 17, right?"
"Yes."
"Who has guardianship?"
"Jack."
"Hell no," Ryan said. "I don't care about the company, or the money, but he is not taking anything from you."
"What... what does that mean?" Chuck asked.
"It means I guess I'm sticking around for a while," Ryan said. "What exactly does the will say about me?"
"It identifies you as his son, it leaves a third of his shares of Bass Industries to you, the other two thirds are mine and his latest wife, Lilly's."
"What does she think about all this?"
"She doesn't trust Jack as far as she could throw him," Chuck said.
"Good, that'll help."
(oh my god... this one may get at least a least a few more random snippets at some point because the ideas it's sparking... lol... Ryan going to war with Jack Bass to protect Chuck... Chuck trying to get Ryan to embrace the wealth and power that comes with being a Bass... Chuck being a little nicer to Dan because most of his insults? Could also be used against Ryan... Ryan deciding to give Chuck a hard time by taking him to a baseball/basketball game, making him wear jeans, and making him sit with the 'normal' people instead of in a luxury box or whatever... lol... omg... Chuck meets The Nana... lmao)

Date: 2012-01-18 12:05 am (UTC)"Why?" Brooke asked. "Because last time I saw you, you were all about how useless I was, and how you didn't love me, you just loved sex with me, and..."
"I wanted you to have better than a boyfriend in jail for the next twenty five years," Ryan said. "I figured, no one believed me in court that I was innocent, so no one ever would."
"I believed you," Brooke said. "And obviously someone else did, too, because you're here."
"Yeah, four years too late," Ryan said, finally looking up. "I loved you, Brooke. I still do, more than anything, and I just..."
Brooke reached to take his hands in his. "Ryan..."
"I wanted you to be happy," Ryan said, lifting their joined hands to tap her wedding ring. "I want this life for you, Brooke, and I... I'm glad you have it. I just... I wish you had it with me."
"Ryan..." Brooke began again.
Ryan shook his head and let go of her hands and took a step back. "I should go. You have the life you deserve, beautiful sons and a husband who loves you, and... I don't wanna ever hurt that." For a moment he just looked at her, at the tears glistening in her eyes, then he reached out to swipe them away with his thumb before leaning forward to kiss her cheek. "Bye," he whispered before starting for his jeep.
Brooke hesitated a moment, then ran to stop him, her fingertips just barely grazing his wrist, though it was enough to get him to turn. "The boys... they... they're yours," she said.
"I kinda figured," Ryan admitted.
"You should know them, Ryan," Brooke said. "They should know you."
"What's your husband gonna think of that?"
"He gonna think that now someone with some actual athletic skill can play sports with them when they get older," Brooke said with a slight laugh. "Because Julian may be an amazing director? But he sucks at sports. All sports, seriously, it's embarrassing."
Ryan laughed. "You sure?"
"Yeah, I am," Brooke said. "I am always going to love you, Ryan, but I... I love Julian, too, and..."
"If I stay, it's not about you and me," Ryan promised. "I would never try to ruin your marriage. I just... I wanna know my sons. I want them to know that there's one more person in the world who would do anything for them."
"Stay," Brooke said. "Come by tonight for dinner, meet the boys, talk to Julian... who knows, maybe you guys can be friends."
"If he can handle knowing that I know the sounds you make during sex," Ryan teased.
"Let's try to keep that out of the conversation," Brooke suggested with a smile. "You'll come for dinner?"
"Yeah, I'll be there," Ryan agreed.
(I MAY write more of this... though if I did it would be with Brooke/Julian together, and Ryan would be good friends with them both, though maybe always with an undercurrent when it comes to Brooke, and Ryan eventually finding love with someone else, but Ryan always makes sure his kids come first... and he has no problem sharing the 'dad' role with Julian... since Ryan is the Sports Playing dad and Julian is the Movie Going dad... and Julian ends up co-writing a movie based on the whole situation and jokes with Ryan that he is going to turn Ryan's character into a jerk and Ryan replies that he'll just bad mouth Julian all over the place, and Brooke comments that the twins are mroe mature than they are... lol)
