missmara13I had a long entry, but stupid browser errored and closed, so I lost it. Here's the condensed version.
Less than a week till my bro's wedding. We leave for Denver early friday morning, return sometime Saturday afternoon or evening.
I'm working on my Lucky/Elizabeth fansite. It used to be called 'Still The One', but I'm renaming it, and currently my top choice is 'Complicated', since their whole relationship kinda is. Anyone know of anywhere with some GOOD quailty Lucky/Elizabeth screencaps from early on in their relationship? Specifically from when Lucky found her in the park and immediately following? I need them for a layout idea...
My mom ROCKS! She bought me a new book to read during the trip for my bro's wedding. The Enterprise Novel 'Deadelus' which is Trip Centric! WooHoo! lol I LOVE MY MOM! lol She's the GREATEST! lol
Still kinda speechless after Friday's Third Watch. Glad Doc didn't get killed, but... OMG, the very thing of him going crazy is just shocking! But it kinda fits with how he's been this season. The worst/best part of the ep was when Carlos came in and Doc kept asking 'What are you doing here?' Laci and I agreed that Doc probably specifically planned his timing so Carlos wouldn't be there to see him do that. And I was SO damn proud of Carlos for ignoring Doc's threats and going to help the Jackass Captain anyway! And then Kim went to help, too! Stupid, but brave as hell! lol We (Me and Laci) think Nardo was setting Bosco up for being accused of killing him (Nardo), though. I hope not... And it was good to see Faith back and in uniform.
We did the majority of the furniture moving yesterday. Living room looks TOTALLY different now! lol TV's in the corner, computer is in front of the windows that overlook our driveway, bookshelves line the wall opposite the computer (Big surprise! We have SOOO many dang books! lol). All in all it looks nice so far.
We also have a temporary bar in the kitchen. We took this shelf thing we had that a similiar shape but small than what we're gonna build, and we used it and a metal shelf to build a temporary bar. Very cool and nice looking. It'll be better when we build the real one this coming summer/fall, though.
I guess that's it... nothing else to say at the moment. May be back later... lol

I'm going to see it for sure - the trailers (http://www.thepassion.tv) were enough to convince me. I read somewhere that it's the widest opening ever for a subtitled movie; I have a feeling subtitles won't detract from the full effect of this movie though. After looking at the trailers which have no subtitles or english at all, it was reinforced for me that lack of spoken english in this film won't hurt one bit. To sum up my impression of The Passion: it's a work of art.

Another fascinating aspect to this movie is all the controversy that has been generated about it.
Some people, not really representative of Jewish people, but rather self appointed Jewish spokespeople, such as Abraham Foxman from the Anti-Defamation League, seem to have been attempting to denounce this film for months as being anti-Semitic. The news reported that they even stole the script last year! But here's what some Jews say (Jews who don't make it their job to tear apart other people): by Rabbi Daniel Lapin.
Nice to see some people speaking rationally.
