Anyone up for a fic challenge?

I'm thinking of calling it: "The Alternate Sibling Challenge".

Take a show that has a strong dynamic between a pair of siblings. Now take another show with another stron dynamic between siblings. Switch it around.

Trey (The OC) is the half brother of Nathan (One Tree Hill
Charlie (Numb3rs) is the younger brother of Dean (Supernatural).
Ryan (The OC) is the brilliant brother of McKay (Stargate:Atlantis) who gave up a science career for a family.
Hailey (The OC) is the kinda flighty younger sister of Carter (Eureka).

Etc...

The shows that pop into my head as having strong sibling dynamics:

Supernatural (Dean and Sam)

Additionally, and I'm editting to add this because with two that fit this criteria, it needs a subsection and not a throw away coment below... lol... the related idea of "Alternate Family". Have a character from one fandom either replace a sibling from a group of siblings, or have them be just yet another of the siblings.

Anyone have a suggestion of another show that fits this category?

The point is, I'm challenging folks to write a story that switches siblings around. The only 'rule' is that at least one, preferably both, halves of the new siblings must have a strong sibling relationship (positive or negative) on their show.

So, anyone up for it? There's no claiming, so it's fine if more than one person wants to write the same mix fo characters, but if you plan on particpating, I'd love it if you commented with what combo you wanna write.

It can be anything from a one shot to an epic length. But let's say a minimium up... 500 words? so more than a drabble. And no, I won't be counting words... lol

No real deadline, but... maybe we could shoot for the first week of January to at least post the beginning of the story? Or a snippet of it?

If no one wants to play, fine, I've always been fine playing by myself... and Ryan as McKay's brother IS kinda calling to me... lol...

Hmmm. Dawn and Buffy from BtVS, and what about Marissa and Kaitlin? They are at least as close as Kirsten and Hailey. And the annoying sisters from Charmed.

Ooooh! Veronica Mars! Duncan and Lily, Dick and Beaver. In fact, Ryan somehow in Neptune (either as a Kane or a Casablancas) sounds like it would be fun to write. I'd be up for that.

omg... how could I forget all of those?! lol... I'll add them to the list... I especially feel stupid for not thinking of the Veronica Mars ones since I did make that crossover vid that ahd Ryan and Logan as half brothers... lol...

I thought of another one - The X-Files is filled with sibling relationships. How would Mulder be different if there had been another sibling... Now I can't decide what to write!

I do so adore the new sibling relationship this season on Heroes... the "If I'd known you were coming I would have made more!" scene is why I have much love... lol *I;m trying for subtle and non-spoiler-y, but since I'm tired... I figure I probably just sound weird... lol)
