Okay, so, I'm browsing on Wikipedia and I came across the page for a movie that really I should be ashamed to love so much, but I still totally adore it... so that got me thinking about other movies that I love even though I should be ashamed of it... I figured a mroe light hearted post was needed after recent crap...
Killer Klowns From Outer Space. Yes, you read that right. It's so god damn stupid and idiotic and yet whenever it's on TV I can't help but watch it. The Crazy Straws being used to suck the blood from people cocooned in cotton candy! The idiots getting seduced by the female Killer Klowns! Klownzilla! Exploding Noses! Cream pies! It's great! lol
The Mighty Ducks Trilogy. I'll admit it, I LOVE these movies! Young Joshua Jackson is so adorable as Charlie! And Emilio Estevez! And the kid who played 'Little Pete' on Pete & Pete was in the first one! And Bash Brothers! And in the second one (Which I actually just finished watching... lol) Ken Wu becoming the third Bash Brother! lol
Labyrinth. I love this one so much that when it gets near the end, I ALWAYS end up jumping up and down yelling "You have no power of me!" when Sarah can't remember that line! I also always wanna smack her for forgetting because it's not a hard thing to remember! lol
Cry-Baby! Johnny Depp, Ricki Lake, Traci Lords, Iggy Pop! John Waters is a GENUIS with this movie! I swear, I'm obsessed with it! Wade 'Cry-Baby' Walker saving his tears in a jar and then Allison Vernon-Williams DRINKING them! The Chicken care race!
Flowers In The Attic Yes, it's totally horrible because it edits so much out of the book... The incest is totally removed, the ending is totally out of left field... Bart is ugly, not incredibly handsome... Cathy is a vindictive bitch by the end... and the end itself is just HORRIBLE! but I still watch it pretty anytime it's... lol...
Deathlands: Homeward Bound. Again, it's horrible because it removed so much of what makes the book series AMAZING... Jak became a viscious monster mutant who gets 'bloodlust' when eh kills, instead of an intelligent young man who kills when he has to and only takes delight in outsmarting the people who are out to kill him. He gets look down on and treated like an animal almost by the rest of the group in the movie, while in the books he's treated as an equal even though he's only 14/15. Can you tell I love Jak and HATE how he was portrayed in the movie? lol... but anyway, if it ever airs on Sci-Fi again, I'll watch it ebcause I'm OBSESSED with the books and always trying to get my hands on more of them... if anyone's looking to get me birthday presents, try and find some of the books on Amazon or something and let me know so I can give you my address... lol...
Sister Act... yeah, can't really defend this one at all. But I still love it! The final performance of the kids at the competition remains one of my favorite moments ever... lol
There was one more than the above list, but I honestly can't remember it now... lol... Anyway, hope this was a more cheerful post for everyone to read... anyone wanna share the movies they love even though they should be ashamed to admit it? Feel free to comment anonymously if you don't want anyone to know who you are... lol

Date: 2007-07-18 05:46 am (UTC)Funny thing is? I had forgotten that Joshua Jackson has at least a cameo role in Scream 2, which I'm watching right now... he's in Randy's Film Class near the beginning, arguing that 'Stab' was directly responsible for the murders at the theater... lol

#1: It's Johnny Depp. His first leading role in a movie no less.
#2: It's a funny and lovely parody of a certain movie genre.
#3: It's Johnny Depp.
So no, nothing to be ashamed of.

Huge teen movie fan - 10 Things I Hate About You, A Knight's Tale, She's All That, Bring It On, Stick It, Save the Last Dance, Drumline... etc. Love them all!
