Caleb is that and more for not even bothering to find out anything about Ryan, even out of pure curiosity or human interest, and for playing with an innocent, vulnerable, unknowing kid's life while manipulating his daughter.
Kirsten, for all of her concern for Ryan and any business and professional smarts she exhibits, typically disappoints by blurring the lines at work with the personal and becoming an unintentional pawn to her father. The problem is, she is too weak a person with him in all matters. And, bottom line, Ryan's business wasn't hers to discuss with Caleb regardless of their daughter/father relationship. That was private and had nothing to do with Caleb. That ought to feed nicely into Ryan's trust issues yet again. Stupid Kirsten ought to know better when it comes to respecting someone's life, not to raise questions about Ryan or to reveal anything more than necessary.
Btw, the Cohens are legally Ryan's guardians in this version, right? Having that arrangement altered after Dawn was found guilty of abandonment wouldn't be very easy if even possible, no matter if she cleaned up her act for an established 6-12 months for a judge to review. I guess even planting the seeds is cause for trauma and conflict...
