Everyone int he follow-group has been revealed. Volchak is an obvious, as are Trey and Lindsay. Donnie the guy from 'The Outsider' who shot Luke, Casey was Johnny's girlfriend who slept with Volchak, and Z is the guy from Juvie who was all coming on to Kirsten until Ryan attacked him... lol
In the third scene of this part, at the end of the scene, Zach told Ryan that Trey is alive, so Ryan does know now... lol
Trey has only seen the vehicles from a distance, and caught glimpses of the peopel froma distance. He hasn't gotten a good look at any of them, especially not Ryan, so he doesn't know Ryan is even alive (It'll be explained why he thinks Ryan is dead)
As for Lindsay being too nice for Trey... his competition is Volchak, Donnie, and Z... lol... He's the pick of the litter compared to them... and as you said, this is AU. Trey has been nice to Lindsay, and because he thinks Ryan is dead, he understands her pain (because obviously her mom is dead), the only family either of them had and really loved is gone.
