missmara13So... yeah. I do have a new chapter of 'Good Enough' (The OC/Brothers & Sisters, Ryan is the Walker half brother) almost done, and I'm trying to get new chapters of other WIP fics done... but new ideas haunt me... so these are the ones currently poking at me...
I will gladly make 'primer' posts (videos included) for any and all fandoms anyone isn't familiar with...
Multifandom The Umbrella Academy AU
Connor Walsh, Ryan Atwood, Brooke Davis, Jess Mariano, and Callie Adams-Foster as the Hargreaves siblings (yes, I know I'm short by 2 of them... but of why I don't know if I'll ever write it)... instead of the Luthor/Allison incest-y story, there's Connor/Ryan... except Ryan's dead and only Connor can see them and it's sort of torture but Ryan can't bare to leave them all behind and Connor doesn't want to let Ryan go, and not all is at is seems and Ryan isn't neccesarily as dead as they think... and Summer Roberts is a doctor and the off-and-on girlfriend of Jess, the angry knife thrower.... and Brooke can make people do things by whispering about hearing a rumor they would, and Callie can make drawings come to life... and I just kinda really like it...
Multifandom Lost In Space AU
Not sure exactly how to pull it off, but... Ryan as a con artist who got himself onto the crew of the Resolute with plans to desert when they reached Alpha Centauri and just live in the wilds of the planet because even if he died out there at least it would be with fresh air around him... but then the Resolute is attacked and he manages to evac to the planet and he winds up meeting a colony family, the Cohens, and they basically adopt him after he claims to be the sole survivor of his family after their jupiter crashed, and eventually his lies are discovered and he takes off into the wilderness just before they find out about the black hole and Seth recruits Summer and Marissa to help him find Ryan before they all evacuate the planet and he's left to die... maybe actually just have The OC characters directly ino LIS, as in the Robinsons and all the rest are there... ooh... Don West and Trey Atwood were friends, and Don helped Ryan pretend to be Trey so he could qualify as old enough to be crew, and then he covers for Ryan at first when the Cohens get to all the others, because Ryan's lies were a lot more harmless than 'Dr. Smith's' lies were..
The 100/The OC Modern AU
Normally I hate Modern AUs, but I kinda really like this one... it's a bit complicated, though...
Prologue takes place with several snippets of an altered version of The OC Season One... in this verse, Ryan is gay (not bi, just plain gay). When he keeps rejecting Summer practically throwing herself on him, she sarcastically asks if he's not into girls and his awkward reaction tells her he isn't. Instead, they basically become best friends. One night, after Marissa overdoses around Christmas, Summer ends up crying herself to sleep in Ryan's arms and Seth finds them like that in the morning, then promptly accuses them of sleeping together and calls Summer a slut/whore/etc. In his anger and desire to defend Summer's honor, Ryan blurts out that he's gay and the Cohens freak out. Ryan ends up moving in with Summer and her dad, who is a lot more accepting of Ryan's sexuality.
The bulk of the story has Ryan and Summer in college. Ryan meets local bartender Bellamy Blake, who has custody of his sister, Octavia, following their mother's suicide. Ryan and Bellamy flirt and clearly have a thing for each other, but they're stubborn dumb asses and keep their distance from all things emotionally involved. Then Raven Reyes, Bellamy's childhood best friend arrives and starts playing matchmaker with an assist from Octavia and Summer.
Don't really know where it would go from there, but... yeah... Ryan/Bellamy would be fucking hot...
I have a vague idea of a plot where Octavia's biological father turns up, and it's Marcus Kane. He and his wife, Abby Griffin, want to get custody of Octavia, and they convince Abby's daughter Clarke to get close to Bellamy to try to find evidence that he's not a fit guardian...
Lucifer Idea #1 - Human AU
Much like Modern AUs, I dislike Human AUs in general, but...
An AU where Lucifer is just a normal human. He's still fabulously wealthy, obnoxiously charming, self centered, and hedonistic, but also generous and protective and kind. Either his parents were assholes who seriously named their children after angels and named him Lucifer (which would allow his various siblings to still be around, especially Amendiel because I love him), or he changed his name to Lucifer just to spite them... or maybe both, he had a different angelic name and he changed it to Lucifer as a big F-You to his parents and siblings after he refused to follow the plan his father set in place for him. He has a bit of a love/hate relationship with Chloe Decker, who sees through his happy demeanor to the very damaged man underneath and still likes him (usually)... so pretty much their relationship is true to the show, just without Lucifer actually being the literal devil... and Maze was the first person he met when he moved to LA and she had a completely different background from him so she helped him figure out the LA underworld so he could make deals to keep his club out of turf fights by making 'neutral territory' deals....
Lucifer Idea #2 - Lucifer/The OC Crossover
I also kinda wanna do a The OC/Lucifer crossover were Ryan Atwood ends up homeless on the streets of LA and somehow meets Lucifer and Lucifer takes a liking to him and sort of unofficially adopts him and helps him... not as a favor or anything, but just because he's finds the short kid with a chip on his shoulder amusing... and Ryan basically just shrugs off Lucifer being oddly religious in a self deprecating kinda way because... yeah, dude put a roof over his head and food in his stomach without asking for anything in return, he can deal...
I'm picturing the fic taking place in two time frames: the 1st when Ryan is in his teens and first meeting Lucifer, the second with Ryan in his mid-twenties... flashback Ryan is wary and doesn't trust anyone, but he's scared and desperate and after Lucifer does his 'deepest desire' thing (and Ryan responds that he wants somewhere safe to sleep and/or to live to see 16) Lucifer gives him a job cleaning up Lux before the club opens each night, and Maze takes a liking to Ryan and teaches him how to throw knives and stuff... and 'present day' Ryan is living a good life and Lucifer is a total protective dad to his short blonde son-like person who has a stupid hero complex, and he wants to shower Ryan with money but Ryan won't take it (like seriously there's a bank account with millions of dollars worth of 'allowance' in it, and Ryan just... doesn't touch it...)
And imagine Lucifer off hand introducing Ryan to Chloe as his son and Ryan rolling his eyes and saying Lucifer's just an idiot who threw money at a street kid to 'fix him', and Lucifer feigns hurt... but really Ryan appreciates everything Lucifer did for him and god help anyone who tries to hurt his demonic father and auntie... and officially Ryan doesn't know Lucifer is the devil and Maze is a demon, but he totally figured it out within six months of meeting them and just.... doesn't care because they fucking gave him a home and family when his own mother didn't want him... and the devil isn't so bad really...
And even when Lucifer and Maze go to war (circa late season 3), they end up teaming up when Ryan gets into a situation and needs their help... but Ryan might be faking the situation to reunite his demonic dad and auntie... or he's faking one situation but there's an actual one because of God manipulating, or maybe one of the angelic siblings doing it to try and make Lucifer fall in line... or Cain is threatening him...
And Amenadiel isn't sure what to make of his 'nephew' because it's more of Lucifer insisting of mixing with Humans, but Ryan is just so fucking good at heart that Amenadiel can see EXACTLY why Lucifer was drawn to help him... maybe even he thinks Ryan was put in Lucifer's path in order to humanize him and make him repent to their father... except of course Ryan would tell God 'F you' being such a dick to Lucifer for so long...
And I would have to end up with Ryan getting together with Ella Lopez because I adore the idea of broody Ryan and happy sunshiny Ella getting together... god knows any version of Ryan that I write will need a really good hug, and Ella gives awesome hugs...
Oh, and when Ryan finds out about Trixie adoring Lucifer, he finds it so fucking funny... and of course the two of them team up to play matchmaker...
Basically, everyone loves Ryan, who doesn't give a fuck he was adopted by the literal devil and a demon, and Ryan is still the same good and pure hearted guy we know and love, and he just wants people to be ok... and Lucifer still thinks throwing money at things fixes them and doesn't quite realize that it was him caring what happened to Ryan is what fixed Ryan, not the money he gave him... and Maze still insists she's disgusted by humanity but Ryan doesn't count because he's Ryan...
And there's no real plot to fit it, but I have this image of the flashback Ryan, being badly injured, like beaten bloody, and Lucifer just on instinct putting his arms around him and promising not to let anyone hurt him again... not necessarily a hug exactly, but more a 'see how my arms are here? That's because I will protect you, and anyone who hurts you better hope I never go back to running hell because I will give them special attention if I do... and they will be there because I killed them' kinda thing... because the way I see it, Lucifer wasn't confused by the act of a hug (when Trixie repeatedly threw her arms around him), he was confused by the fact that anyone would WANT to hug him... he can offer comfort to others, but someone actively seeking affection from HIM is just a foreign concept... although Ryan has sought affection from him for years by the time he meets Trixie, it's just to Ryan conversation is affection. Lucifer listens to him, therefore Lucifer cares about him...
I may have thought that last one out WAY more than any other... but I sorta love it...
