Okay, there's no explaination for why The Nana is seemingly living in Berkeley, but... she is... lol
When he started getting hit on by girls he knew were in Sandy's law class, Ryan just smiled and turned them down gently with the excuse of being busy, figuring they trying to get a good grade by dating their professor's son.
When one of the girls who worked in Kirsten's new gallery start flirting, he sighed, thinking maybe he shouldn't have worn a wifebeater while fixing the ceiling the previous week because it had given a bad impression.
When Sophie Rose's preschool teacher and her assistant started stalking him in the grocery store, he though maybe they just found guys who doted on their baby sisters hot, and he tried not to show the 'yummy biceps' whenever he picked Soph up.
When he kept getting hit on my nice, single, successful Jewish girls, he rolled his eyes and figured it out.
So, he went home and walked into the kitchen were Sandy, Kirsten, and The Nana were haivng coffee, put his hands flat ont eh table and looked at each of them in term. "I don't need help getting dates," he said firmly. "Stop trying to set me up with law students, gallery clerks, and nice Jewish girls."
"But you agree they're nice?" The Nana said.
Ryan sighed. "I have a girlfriend," he finally admitted. "And she thought it was funny at first that all these girls kept throwing themselves at me, but it's kinda starting to affect my chances of still having a girlfriend this time next week. So stop."
"You're seeing someone?" Sandy asked.
"Since when?" Kirsten protested.
"Tell me all about her," The Nana said, getting up to take Ryan's arm and lead him towards the backyard. "I need to know if she's good enough for my favorite grandson."
"Nana..." Ryan began, smiling.
"Just don't tell Seth I said that," The Nana said, returning the smile.
"She's... you'd like her. Even though she's not Jewish."
"Eh, it was hope," The Nana said as they sat down on a bench. "Now, details please?"
Ryan smiled again as he started telling her about the girl.
The End
The matchmakers are:
Sandy - His pretty female students. He told them his son the architecture student was single.
Kirsten - Her employee, who was attracted and Kirsten just gave her a nudge to ask Ryan out.
Sophie Rose - She told her teacher and the assistant that Ryan needed a girlfriend 'cause his last one was lying liar Taylor who left him for Henri Michel.
The Nana - Obviously, as revealed, the Nice Jewish Girls.
