Harry Potter...
Jun. 23rd, 2003 08:50 pmOkay, I just finished Reading Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix! I got it at 12:01am on Saturday, and finished it at 8:42pm Monday... so about 68 hours and 41 minutes to read all 870 pages.
OMB it was fantastic! I won't give much of anything away, just in case, but at least for me, the death JK Rowling herself confirmed was absolutely heartbreaking. I kept thinking, up till I reached the death, that it was going to be different people. One Page I thought "Oh No! Hagrid's gonna die!", but a few later "Oh! Mr. Weasly! No!!!" or "Hermoine! She can't die!" It was thrilling but nerve wracking.
There's some really cool spellwork in it... Neville gets some GREAT stuff! I LOVE that little guy! Cho Chang has a pretty big roll in this one, but I am not a fan of hers. but Ginny's around a lot too! I want either Ginny/Harry or Ginny/Neville! lol
There's some Quidittch shocks... the team gets a new Keeper, but ends up loosing 3 players later on thanks to the non-Voldermort bad person (Henceforth known as 'Little Froggy'). 2 of those players later stage a daring escape from the Little Froggy and it's minions.
A lot of bad people get what they deserve, but the good people suffer too. Harry's a real jerk for part of the book, but it's somewhat understandable considering.
I think The summer before his 6th year might be better for Harry than any of his other summers.
I may be back later with some other stuff to tlak about. I jsut had to talk about the book! lol
Later!
