That's pretty much my take on things on the show, she would have liked to talk to him, but since Sandy was the one who had a 'connection' with Ryan and 'understood' Ryan, she let him take the lead, even though it could have ended in a huge disaster... and now, in this story, she recognizes Christian's anger as coming from a place of fear because his child was hurt...
