A Primer on "Brothers & Sisters"

missmara13I'm embedding several vids that give a good feel of the B&S characters and stories, so those that DON'T know the fandom will have a better clue reading my new fic 'Good Enough'. First is an official recap, and then several of my favorite scenes from the show.
This is the official 'ABC Starter Kit' recap for Season 1 &2. It's somewhat Rebecca Harper centric in terms of the stories, but also fills in the other stuff, too.
Justin struggled with drug problems when he was younger and got clean. But after being sent to Iraq for a second time, he was injured and became addicted to pain pills. This scene is the intervention his family staged when they realized how bad it had gotten. It's heartbreaking, but so good. It shows so many of the reasons I love this show, and why Justin and Kitty are my favorites, partially because of the relationship they have with eachother. Justin says some horrible things in this clip, but it's like the things Kirsten said in her intervention, lashing out in anger.
This one is several Justin related clips, including one fo the scenes that makes me love him so much (the opening flashback scene with Kitty), and then the clip of him being found after his overdose.
This one... is kinda freakin' hilarious. Justin is in Rehab, and the rest of the Walkers come to see him for a family day thing. And they proceed to start arguing and bickering. It's suppose to be about Justin, but it quickly turns to them yellign at eachother, and poor Justin keeps trying to stay on track and apologize, but... it doesn't really work so well because Nora keeps saying it's okay, and then come the family revelations. And Kitty tries to help Justin get it bakc on track. And the look Justin gives the therapist is hilarious. But Justin's final speech to them at the end of the clip is so heartbreaking.
This one is a fanvid, but it has TONS of dialogue included, and it has a bunch of different moments, ranging from funny to heartbreaking. It's also very revealing about the relationships between the various family members.
If you have any questions, ask and I will try to answer. But in closing? Justin is my favorite, Kitty is a close second, the others are all tied for 3rd! lol
