Update on kitten...

His name has officially changed to 'Fargo', still after a character on Eureka, but this time a male one who's kinda of a sweet doofus who has a bad habit of pushing buttons and getting himself into sticky situations.

Fargo-The-Cat likes to walk across and even SIT ON my laptop. He gets his claws stuck all the time and needs help to get free, and he is definitely a sweet doofus... so... yeah, it's very much fitting.

In less happy news... one of our older cats, Frosty, has TWICE gone after Fargo, chasing him and being just horrible to him. She's about three or four times his size, and she so terrifies him that both times he has hissed and growled at me afterwards when I tried to pick him up and make sure he was okay (no injuries either time, but he was seriously scared)... I am just so pissed at her, because he seems to want to get along... after the first time, he was... well... not happy about her coming back and hovering in my bedroom doorway, but he just moved to lay at the end of my bed and watch her. And she jumped up and came after him! Ugh...

Given the end of tonight's Eureka...

So, while I'm not sure how most of the series since the whole time travel/alternate reality thing went down would fit into my Eureka!Ryan universe, I just had an idea based on tonight's second to last episode ever... (next week is the Series finale... makes me sad...)


Eureka is being shut down by the D.O.D. (Department Of Defense, for non-Americans, aka the government branch that supplies funds to Eureka), and since the scientists are civilians, they can be hired by someone else... say... the SGC? Maybe when Ryan finds out Eureka is being shut down, he starts trying to get the SGC to hire as many people as possible... and eh talks to McKay and Weir about getting some Eureka people to Atlantis...

Beckett could use another couple medical doctors on his staff like Allison and Grace (and Zoe, of course, since by the timeframe of E!R, Zoe is graduated from med school and working in Global's infirmary). And the labs could use Henry, Zane, Fargo, and Holly (I may not have mentioned her since my last E!R fic was before she first appeared, but I adore her lol)... and come on, security could use Carter and Jo to handle the largely piddly crap that happens when large group works together (Because Sheppard and Lorne should not be having to deal with "Who stole that scientist's supply of butterfingers?" when they're trying to deal with Wraith and Genii!)... and yeah, having the handful of kids involved present (Teenage Kevin, little Jenna, Jo and Zane's daughter, and Fargo and Holly's son) might complicate slightly, I like to think there's a small contingent of Athosians who aren't on gate teams but still live in Atlantis most of the time that can watch the little kids... and Atlantis isn't really that much more dangerous than Eureka...

And Ryan and Zane would rock it in Eureka... I picture Zane just drooling over the idea of poking around a Puddlejumper... and Zane, Fargo and Holly all driving McKay crazy but they are smart and good in a crisis so he likes them anyway... and I hinted before but in my head Henry has known McKay for years so they work well together... and Cadman, Ronon, and Jo would all make fast friends with eachother, I think... Carter and Sheppard bonding and lamenting over no one appreciating baseball and football properly... Weir, Allison, and Grace would probably become friends...

But I've been desperately trying to figure out how to get some of the Eureka people to Atlantis in E!R just because of the fun of it (and them telling stories about teenage Ryan... like Zane giving Ryan a hard time about flirting with Claudia by exchanging criminal records... lol)... this gives me the perfect excuse... lol
