It's Eureka!Ryan... with another show tossed in for fun! lol... This one takes place 6 or 7 years after the bulk of the Eureka!Ryan stories, and was jsut written as fun so it doesn't really have any bearing on the future of the other stories... except that Ryan WILL have degrees of some kind by the time he's 22, and they'll be degrees that normally take a LONG time to get... lol...
This is purely for fun and my own amusement... I think ti can be understood jsut find without much knowledge of the third universe... might make it funnier since you're just as lsot as poor Ryan is... lol...
"I'm telling you," Zoe Carter said as she sat on the end of her best friend's bed, waiting for him to finish getting dressed in the bathroom so she could give him the thumbs up or down on his clothes for his meeting. "Glasses will make you look smarter."
"I don't need glasses, Zo," Ryan Atwood replied as he came out, holding his arms out to, hopefully, get her approval of the black slacks and dark blue button down shirt with a black tie. "Well?"
"You look good, professional," Zoe said. "But the glasses..." she continued, holding them up.
Ryan rolled his eyes but snatched them from her and moved back to look in the mirror over his bathroom sink as he slipped them on. "I don't need glasses, Zoe," he repeated.
"It makes you look more like a geek," Zoe said as she got up to stand behind him, arms wrapping around his shoulders. "The muscles kinda lower the geek quotient."
"I think being 22 and having 2 doctorates in Applied Physics and Quantam Mechanics ups the geek quotient," Ryan replied, looking at their reflection.
Zoe sighed and put her chin on his shoulder. "I just want this to go well for you."
"Even though if it does, according to what Henry told me, it means I'd be leaving Eureka for a long time before I could even get back for a visit?"
"Yeah, even though," Zoe said. "I'll miss you like crazy, but... I know you hate sitting in a lab all the time, you want to be out in the world using that big brain of yours to do something big. So I'm gonna deal with it and be happy for you."
"Let's not get ahead of ourselves, Zo, I haven't even had the interview yet," Ryan said. "I might make an idiot out of myself."
"I doubt it," Zoe said. "What times the interview?"
Ryan glanced at his watch, a panicked look crossing his face. "In a half hour! And with security checks at Global, it mgiht take that long just to get through!"
"Go! I'll lock up before I leave," Zoe said, watching Ryan grab his jacket and bag, then run out. She sighed and turne doff the light as she worked her way through Ryan's small apartment, pausing to see if he had any food she could steal and shaking her head when she saw the fridge was almost empty. "Note to self, make sure to tell these people to remember to feed him," she muttered.

By the time Ryan got through Global's security and made his way to his lab, Henry Deacon was already there with the two people he was meeting with. "Sorry, I sort of lost track of time," he said with an uncertain smile.
"Your file didn't say you needed glasses," the shorter, balding, man said, frowning.
Ryan blushed and pulled them off. "A friend was trying to convince me that they make me look smarter and counteract the muscles..." he said.
"Zoe's still on that, huh?" Henry asked, chuckling.
"Apparently scientists aren't suppose to work out or ride motorcycles," Ryan replied, shrugging as he put his messenger bag over the back of one of the chairs and pulled out his laptop. "I am sorry I'm late, though."
"Punctuality isn't everything," the taller, darkhaired, man said.
"Ryan, I'd like to introduce you to Lt. Colonel John Sheppard and Dr. Rodney McKay," Henry said, gesturing to the taller man first, then the shorter one. "Colonel Sheppard, Dr. McKay, I'd like you to meet Dr. Ryan Atwood."
"It's a pleasure," Ryan said, shaking each of their hands.
"What has Henry told you about the job offer?" Sheppard asked.
"That I'd get the chance to use my doctorates in a more practical setting, with a lot less time stuck in a lab. That I'd get to see some interesting places, meet interesting people. That if I get the job, I wouldn't be able to have live contact with anyone here while there, and I wouldn't be able to come back for several months at least, barring an emergency."
"So he kept it pretty vague," Sheppard said.
"He left out that your life would be at risk about twice a week, including the risk of prematuring aging in the literal sense, hostile takeovers by extremely hostile enemies..." McKay began.
"Look, you're file speaks for itself," Sheppard interrupted, talking right over McKay. "There are a lot of risks involved in this job, and we chose you as a top canidate because your record suggests you can handle it, including defending yourself if there was an attack."
"Colonel, I decided a long time ago never to let anyone beat me down again," Ryan said. "If I gotta fight to protect myself and others? I sure as hell will."
"What about the isolation?" McKay asked.
"Well, I assume there will be other people there..." Ryan said.
"I mean from family, friends?" McKay clarified.
"Dr. McKay... it says right in my file. I have no family, they all gave up on me a long time ago because I wasn't who they wanted. The only people I have to miss are the people here, and as long as I can send and recieve letters, I can handle it. I'll miss them, but... Henry says this is one hell of an oppurtunity, and I don't think he would have recommended me if he didn't think that I'd think it was worth it."
"It is," Henry confirmed.
"Then I think we should cut to the chase," Sheppard said. "Do you want the job?"
"That's it?" Ryan asked. "You're just..."
"Your file speaks for itself," Sheppard repeated.
"Yes," Ryan said. "I want the job."
"Then sign these," Sheppard said, holding out a clipboard. "Confidentiality Forms, basically, you can't tell anyone anything classified or we'll toss you in a military prison in Antartica for the rest of your life."
"Right," Ryan said, signing them and passing them back.
"How soon can you be ready to leave?" McKay asked.
"I need a couple hours to pack..." Ryan said.
"Tomorrow morning enough time?" McKay asked. "We're scheduled to leave orbit in the afternoon..."
"Yeah, tomorrow morning is..." Ryan began, then stopped. "Did you just say 'leave orbit'?"
Sheppard smiled and handed him a computer disc. "It's all on there," he said. "We'll see you in the morning." He tapped the small radio clipped over his ear. "This is Sheppard, me and McKay are ready." An instant later, they disappear in a flash of light, leaving Ryan to stare at where they had been, stunned.
"What the hell did I just agree to?" Ryan asked Henry, who just smiled and patted his shoulder.
The End
Yeah, yeah, I'm crazy... lol... this one obviously added Stargate:Atlantis to the mix... Ryan would make a kick ass gate team member... lol
