This one is short, but... lol... adorable...
How did this always happen? How did he always end up sitting right across the table from her?
"More tea, Mr. Ryan?" Sophie Rose asked, holding up her little pink and white tea kettle.
Ryan forced a smile. "Yes, please, Miss Sophie Rose," he replied, shifting slightly to try and get comfortable, as impossible as that was, in the little wooden chair that was about half as big as he needed it to be. He stiffled a sigh as Sophie Rose poured Pink Lemonade into his cup, then smiled and raised it to his lips, remembering to lift a pinky like his sister always insister was only proper.
There was a flash fromt he doorway, and Ryan looked up, glaring at Seth and the camera. "Delete it," he ordered.
"Aw, but it's so cute!" Seth replied. "I'm sure your next girlfriend would love to see it."
"Delete it now," Ryan repeated.
"Seth!" Sophie Rose said happily. "Ryan has to go to class soon, but now you can play with me!"
Ryan grinned and leaned over to whisper in Sophie Rose's ear before setting his tea cup down and getting up. "See you later, Seth," he said as he walked past his brother.
"What do you want to play, Sophie?"
Ryan grinned, anticipating the answer.
"Dress up!" Sophie Rose said excitedly. "Mommy bought me a bunch of new boas and tiaras!"
Ryan chuckled as he jogged downstairs, sticking his head into the kitchen to say goodbye to Sandy and Kirsten. "Hey, Kirsten?"
"Yes?"
"Please, please, take the video camera upstairs and tape Seth and Soph playing," Ryan said. "I wouldn't want to miss that great moment."
The End
I'll have the other gift I owe you guys posted later, but this one can count as yesterday's... lol
