lol...if you remember, in 'Someday' (the Supernatural/The OC crossover one shot that I started this universe with) when Ryan was telling Dean what happened, he said he woke up to the screams and when he got outside he saw the flames filling the master bedroom. So Ryan woke up pretty much just as Kirsten died... The death of the Cohens was the attack on Ryan, destroy what made him strong. Ryan will, obviously be in the rest of the story, but readers already KNOW what happened from Ryan's POV that night, so it seemed silly to rehash it from his POV again.
