Jimmy being a former John? Hehe, I actually expected it the minute he turned up in that house unexpected. Well, at least you didn't turn him into a total asshole (it's bad enough as it is) by making him one the really mean violent Johns. I'm curious how this will go on. Cause I'm sure it's not the last time he saw Jimmy.
I like Marissa's helping him out idea. Getting him out of the house and instead of turning to booze or drugs or trouble, he gets distracted by something he is really good at and with that even gets a good feeling through helping the girls out with his smarts. And I like the Kaitlyn exchange.
Sophie is just great. I love every single line of the Ryan/Sophie encounter.
One nitpick though. But... Sandy and Kirsten don't know. Correct me, if I'm wrong...but doesn't Sandy have at least an idea about the old group home? Wasn't that what he used to blackmail the asshole socialworker into letting Ryan stay with them? Or do I have that confused with another story. Hm, maybe I should reread the beginning of the chapter again to be sure.
