A picture of the grease burn...

I posted last night about a delay in my 24 Gifts because I managed to splash hot grease on my right hand/arm and couldn't focus on writing...

Behind the cut is a picture of my hand, taken about 5 minutes ago... you can see that it's not really bad, and unless it hits something it doesn't really hurt, but it's still ugly looking...

I did adjust the contrast and brightness a little bit to make it a little easier to see (it was hard to get a pic in enough light to show the burn but without washing it all out...) but otherwise it's unaltered. I also have a spot about the size of a quarter on my forearm where the grease splashed onto my sweater and was against the skin for a bit while I got cold water on my hand...

I'd been worried I'd wake up this morning with big ass blisters or something, since that's what happened when I burned my wrist on a heater about 12 or so years ago, but thankfully no blisters... it could have been much worse, and I think I scared my mom and brother because of how I started screaming, but god it hurt bad...

Like, *OW*! Glad it wasn't any worse; this is painful enough but you're right, beats blisters. *hugs*

Ouchie Owie. I feel your pain. I once poured hot bacon fat directly over my index finger, and I did get that very nasty blister (about 2" long, finger-width wide and 1/2" tall) It left a patch of mottled skin for years.
