24 Gifts Of 2010 - Day Fourteen - Hair...
A little sequel to the 12/12/10 Gift. Brooke gets her revenge.
Hair...
"Hannah, honey, where's your dad?" Brooke said as she, Ryan, and Lily walked into the Cohen kitchen, a hat pulled down over Lily's hair.
"Hiding in the shed since he saw you guys pull up," Hannah replied, jerking her thumb towards the door. "Can you try not to kill him? Mom got me this great neon blue nail polish and I wanna try it out, but I don't wanna have to wait until after the funeral."
Brooke grinned and placed a kiss on the top of her niece's head. "Don't worry, I have a better revenge in mind," she promised, rattling a can before heading outside.
"Why would Brooke kill Seth and what is she going to do to him instead?" Kirsten asked Ryan.
Ryan set Lily down on one of the stools and pulled off the hat. "It was suppose to be ribbons braided in."
"Mom thought that dad couldn't possibly screw it up," Hannah added. "But we all know how good dad is at doing just that."
"Oh my god..." Kirsten said, covering her mouth with one hand to hide her smile. "And what is Brooke doing out there?"
"Spray in hair dye," Ryan said, grinning as Brooke walked out of the shed, smiling widely as she strode across the lawn and back into the house. "Revenge complete," she said.
"Mom! Where's the camera?!" Hannah called, jumping up.
"Why?" Summer asked as she came into the kitchen and saw her husband walking out of the shed. With bright pink hair. "You are an evil mastermind," she told Brooke.
"And I love her for it," Ryan replied, wrapping his arms around his wife.
"What am I suppose to do now? I have a meeting about Atomic Country in a few days!" Seth complained.
"It should come out in about 5 washes," Brooke said. "Same as the dye you let them put in Lily's hair, which means she can't go to school next week because of the dress code violation."
"I can't go to school?" Lily said, eyes wide. "But the party!"
"I know, baby, but the rules are the rules..." Brooke began.
"How about you spend half the week with me at work, and the other half with mommy?" Ryan suggested, crouching down in front of her. "You can help me show the contractors what they're doing wrong, and you can help mommy pick a new model."
"Yeah, none of your friends get to do that stuff, do they?" Brooke asked. "And when my new model becomes the next big thing, I bet she'll tell everyone how it was Lillian Kirsten Atwood who discovered her. Won't that be cool?"
Lily nodded. "Really?"
"Really," Brooke said.
"Okay," Lily said. "I guess that's better than a stupid school party."
"Even my friends are gonna be jealous of you," Hannah said. "I'm jealous."
Brooke glanced up at Summer, who nodded. "Well, we could pick you up after school and take you with us to a couple test shoots," she said. "If it's okay with your mom."
"I don't know..." Summer said, deliberately being overly dramatic and making Hannah laugh. "Of course it's okay."
"She dyed my hair pink! Why are we letting her near our daughter's hair?"
"Because Brooke wouldn't do something to an innocent child," Ryan said pointedly.
"What happened to Lily and Seth's hair?!" Sandy asked as he walked in and stopped short.
