Actually it's a little less than a week... but still!

I wanna stick with the Nano rules, which say start no early than 12:01am (Okay, so I'm doing 12:01am May 1st rather than November 1st, but it's a trial run so :P lol), and it's killing me not to write snippets before then! I did write ONE snippet before I decided to make this my trial run story, but I doubt I'll use much, if any, of it in the fic so it doesn't count... right?

I DO however have a pretty damn detailed outline for the first six chapters, and plus some notes for slightly later...

As always with my stories, it'll be Ryan-centric, although I expect the 'good' guys will all end up having their moments to shine... or fail miserably... lol...

I'm toying with the idea of topping each chapter with a quote, and I've been gathering quotes that have the right feel, but some of the sources would be distracting from the story (like a quote by Hawkeye Pierce from M*A*S*H) so I'm thinkign the quotes will sit alone on the chapter heads, no credit, and at the end of the thing I'll have a page that credits every quote, and if something has been paraphrased to better fit, I'll ahve the fuly, correct, quote in the credits.

I may end up not using quotes, though... I haven't decided...

I do have a pretty good idea of the majority of the story, although at this moment the end is eluding me slightly... which sucks... I often have a good idea of how my stories will end before I start them (I knew 'Another Day' would end with Ryan seeing Marissa one last time and making peace with her., and I knew 'With A Whimper' would end with Alcatraz being a full fledged community and Ryan a leader to more than just their small group.) but the ending for this is totally escaping me...

I'm gonna try for the full 50,000 words (Or more!), but I'll consider anything over 40,000 to be a success, since I'll learn from the experience and have MONTHS to outline instead of a week when I do NaNo for real... lol... And even if I don't succeed in finishing it in 1 month? Ya'll will still get to read it, you'll just either have to wait until I finish entirely, or get it one chapter at a time until I finish... lol...

Would anyone be interested in seeing the first draft version of the cover art? I kinda like it... wouldn't mind posting it... it contains spoilers only in terms of revealing the three fandoms that will DEFINITELY be in it (There's a 4th that's possible), and the general feel of the story, which if you know what 'Jericho' was about, you should already have figured out... lol
