24 Gifts Of 2007 - Trey Comes To Newport
17th gift now. It's in the Kaitlin Atwood universe, which si the one where Kaitlin is Ryan and Trey's biological sister. This one is set late Season Two, when trey gets out of jail. I make reference to various Season 1 and Season 2 events, but... don't ask me if the Theresa stuff happened because I honestly don't have that figured out... lol...
Oh... and a warning for language and some major Marissa!Bashing... Trey and Kaitlin don't like Ryan's taste in women... and they don't hesitate to let him know how they feel... lol
"Look who we brought home," Sandy said as he and Ryan walked into the kitchen, followed by...
"Trey!" Kaitlin yelled, jumping up to go throw her arms around her oldest brother's neck.
"You miss me, pipsqueak?" Trey replied, laughing as he swung her around.
"His housing fell through," Sandy explained quietly to Kirsten, both of them watching as the three Atwood siblings reunited. "I said he could stay with us for a little while."
"Good," Kirsten agreed, smiling at how happy Ryan and Kaitlin seemed to be.

"So, Kaitlin's been telling me about that girlfriend of yours..." Trey began as he and Ryan blew up the air mattress on the floor of the poolhouse.
"And I'll bet she gave a glowing review," Ryan said sarcastically.
"You need to stop dating cheating whores," Trey said. "The girl's cheated on you how many times already?"
"She wasn't cheating with Oliver, and the DJ thing... her and me weren't exactly together when it went down..."
"And the dating a chick thing?" Trey said. "I mean, if the other chick was hot and open to a threesome..."
"Please tell me you saved that little gem for me and didn't corrupt our baby sister even further with it," Ryan said sternly.
"You think that little of me?" Trey asked, hand to his heart in exagerated hurt.
"I knew details about sex before I stopped thinking girls had cooties," Ryan replied. "What do you think?"
Trey chuckled. "Yeah, well..." then he stopped, a horrified look on his face. "She's not dating yet, is she?" he asked.
"She's not even 14 yet, so no, she's not," Ryan said. "Thank god. I think I'll get an early heart attack when she starts. You think the guys in Chino were bad with the drugs and drinking? You should see the Newport parties."
"She's forbidden to go to said parties, right?" Trey asked.
"Oh, absolutely," Ryan agreed, nodding.
"Stop trying to ruin my life!" Kaitlin protested from the doorway, hands on her hips.
"You're 13, you shouldn't have a life yet," Trey said.
"I'm almost 14," Kaitlin said. "That's old enough to have a life."
"No, it's not," the brothers chorused, shaking their heads.
"You don't get to have a life until you're at least.... what sounds about right?" Ryan asked, looking over at Trey.
"30," Trey said. "No... 40."
Kaitlin grabbed one of the pillows from the end of Ryan's bed and threw it at Trey's chest. "Jerk!"
"Then I'm doing my job as a big brother," Trey said, laughing as he caught the pillow and threw it at Ryan's head.
"Hey!" Ryan protested.
"Hi!" Marissa said cheerfully as she came in. "Trey, hi! Sandy told me you were staying here for a while. I'm not sure if you remember..."
"Last thanksgiving, yeah," Trey said, offering her a forced smile.
"What, you giving Ryan the time of day again now that Alex has dumped your ass?" Kaitlin asked.
"Why are you always so mean to me?" Marissa asked, eyes wide and lower lip trembling.
"Umm... because you're a bitch who treats my brother like shit?"
"Kaitlin, that's enough," Ryan said, getting up. "What's up, Marissa?"
"Seth and Summer called to see if we wanted to meet them at the diner," Marissa said, her mood immediately swinging back around.
Ryan sighed, then looked up at Trey. "You okay here if I go?"
"Yeah, I was planning on robbing them blind then hitting the neighbors' houses," Trey replied, trying to keep a straight face.
"Funny," Ryan said. "Kait, keep him out of trouble, okay?"
"Sure," Kaitlin agreed. She and Trey watched Ryan go, then she turned to her oldest brother. "Ry's got a play station out here. Maybe you can use it to play 'Grand Theft Auto' and learn how not to crash into telephone poles while running from the cops."
"You've really become a sarcastic little brat, haven't you?"
"I learned that from you years ago," Kaitlin replied. "So?"
"I'm gonna kick your ass at it," Trey said with a grin as Kaitlin went to start the game. He'd missed this, spending time with his siblings, and he wasn't gonna screw up his second chance.
