Look at it this way, at least in this fic he lived to be 40, be married for a good 16 years or so, and be a dad. He didn't die senseless at 16... lol

And there's some good Ryan/Summer coming in both WAW and AD, but you gotta wait a chapter or two for them... lol... and hey, I don't think I plan on killing him again (It's painfully to do! lol), so there's a bonus! I got it out of my system! lol
