Seth and Summer are married, but Seth cheats on her and she kicks him out of their house and makes it clear within hours of finding out that she intends to take EVERYTHING in the divorce. Seth expects his family to be on his side, and Sandy and Kirsten are certainly supportive of their son, even though they aren't happy with his actions. But Ryan is firmly on Team Summer and doesn't hesitate to say so. I'd prefer Ryan and Summer as friends only, no romance.
